Wilson Blum
Principal
Wilson Blum is the Principal of Kingsley Group, where he provides commercial real estate finance and development consulting to sponsors, investors, and operators across asset classes. His practice focuses on financial modeling, development feasibility analysis, joint venture structuring, sponsor due diligence, and capital markets advisory.
Mr. Blum began his commercial real estate career in 2012 specializing in brokerage throughout Southeast Louisiana before transitioning into acquisition and development. He led the expansion strategy for Roark Capital-owned Take 5 Oil Change across nine states, managing the acquisition and entitlement of over thirty sites. He later joined American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company as one of the initial members brought in to build out its bridge and construction lending platform, where he originated over $650 million of debt for hospitality, multifamily, and industrial properties nationwide and served on the investment committee prior to Brookfield's acquisition of AEL in May 2024. His background also includes affordable housing development in New Orleans.
In addition to his advisory work, he is an active principal and sponsor, bringing firsthand development experience to his consulting engagements. He operates through Kingsley Group, continuing the firm his father, Richard Kingsley Blum, built over four decades of turnaround management and financial advisory practice.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Wilson resides in the Catskills region of New York with his wife Jess and their young son Duncan.
